PHOTO EQUIPMENT

The importance of the equipment one employs in the resulting images cannot even be compared with those of good technique, being out there at the right time or simply being out there. At the end of the day, any working camera will produce a nice photo if you shoot with it under nice light at a good location, but not even the best one will produce anything if kept in the closet. Nevertheless, the following is a list of my current equipment:

• Canon EOS R5 body with L bracket (replacing the 5D Mk IV and 5D Mk II)
• Canon RF 10-20mm f/4L IS STM lens (replacing the EF 11-24mm f/4L USM)
• Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens (replacing the EF 24-70mm and 24-105mm f/4L IS USM)
• Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens with EF-RF adapter
• Canon EF 2.0X III extender
• Canon remote switch RS-80N3
• Gitzo carbon fiber tripod GT2541L coupled with a Kirk BH-3 ball head
• Shimoda Action X50 v2 photo backpack
